I can't remember the exact reason I joined deviantART six years ago (on my older account), but I do remember that a classmate told me I should. So I did. At first, I kinda just browsed, looking at all the art. Then I eventually submitted a few things. Got feedback. Tried to improve. Rinse, lather and repeat. After a year or so, I took a break from the internet, dA included. I was more then happy to return though. My story isn't anything special. I think the biggest deal would have been my account move.
